THE LOCATION
Moieciu (German: Mösch, Hungarian: Alsómoécs) is a commune in BraÈ™ov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is located 29 km south of BraÈ™ov, within the Bran Pass.
The commune is composed of six villages: Cheia (Kheja), Drumul Carului, Măgura (Magura), Moieciu de Jos (the commune center), Moieciu de Sus and Peștera (Pestera). Măgura and Peștera are on the eastern side of the Piatra Craiului Mountains.

TOURIST GUIDE

Bran Castle is a castle in Bran, 25 kilometres southwest of Brașov. It is a national monument and landmark in Transylvania. The fortress is on the Transylvanian side of the historical border with Wallachia. Commonly known outside Transylvania as Dracula's Castle, it is often referred to as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker's Dracula. The castle is now a museum dedicated to displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Tourists can see the interior on their own or by a guided tour.
BRAN CASTLE

RâÅŸnov Fortress (Rosenau in German), is located on a rocky hilltop in the Carpathian Mountains, 650 ft. above
the town of RâÅŸnov. First mentioned in an official document in 1331, the fortress was built by Teutonic Knights as protection against invading Tartars and was later enlarged by the local Saxon population.
RASNOV FORTRESS

Bat Cave is situated in the village located at 5km from the village Cave Moeciu Church on the eastern slope of the hill in the north-west shelf Bran and at an altitude of 950 m.
The cave was formed as a result of erosion of the limestone mountain river valley one of the tributaries to the river path which today is temporary. The name comes from cave to cave existence of numerous colonies of bats.
BAt CAVE MOIECIU

The museum displays many of the artifacts which were removed from the nearby castle, such as paintings, decorative art and furniture, weapons, and more. It's an essential piece of Romanian cultural history and a real must while visiting the monumental castle.
BRAN NATIONAL MUSEUM

Located in the southeastern part of Brasov, in the Noua neighborhood, Brasov Zoo is located in the middle of the forest, in a quiet place, ideal for animal welfare and for visitors' relaxation.
Originally known as Zoological Corner, the institution was founded in 1960.

Brasov is a city in Transylvania, Romania and the administrative centre of Brașov County.
According to the latest Romanian census (2011), Brașov has a population of 253,200 making it the 7th most populous city in Romania. The metropolitan area is home to 382,896 residents. Brasov's landmark is its historical center Piata Sfaiului and the popular Black church.
